I highly recommend this. I have been trying to make this as an image button though but I can't seem to make it work. I have been trying different html codes but none of them worked. When I click on the image button, it tells me that page cannot be found. It is really difficult if you are not a techie person. I have been reading and troubleshooting it myself but no success. I know there's something wrong with the script I have been copying. It is so weird really. When I check on the page, it does exist. The problem is, it does not direct me to the page I wanted. What could be the reason for this? I read about permalink. When I saw how I should change the settings and read a tutorial video, I got lost. It looks too complicated. There's one fix which is easier to do though but I need to download the 'repair tool.' It's free and looked so easy but it could be a hoax too. I am too cautious to download anything now. Oh well, what should I do? The best solution I guess is to ask an expert blogger. I really need a lot of tips and advise as to how to manage a blog. Frustrating at times if I don't get it done but it's challenging.

Are You Always Busy?

The first time I read this was from a forwarded message from my aunt. I have been looking for this for quite some time and finally found it. I would like to share this and I am sure many of you are guilty of this.
How many of you go to mass every Sunday? I hate to admit it but yes, I don't. How many of you carries the Bible or even read it? I bet what you will see in people's bags are pocketbooks & novels. How about values taught in school? Did it just remain in school & never practiced? Do we have intimate relationship with God at all? Or do we put others first before God? Now how do the devil steal our time from going to church? Work of course & more work. And if you do get to church, you'd be too distracted from people around walking, talking & not listening to what the priest is saying. Do you spend more than what you earn? Do you even borrow or worst use it to maintain your vices? How about spending to buy your collections & 'wants'? Do you even think that some people can't even buy food yet you can't live without buying those signature bags or shoes or collectibles?
Parents get separated from their child to earn more yet you can't bring back the time and spend those precious occasions with your child. Men are so intelligent now that they even want to 'create' mankind themselves. They have gone to the stars and the moon but can they count them all? Men have ruled the seas and the sand but cannot rule the wrath of nature. With all the advance technology, people believed more in Science.
How does the Lord make you notice Him? He whispers to your ear but you can't hear him because you are surrounded with audio,video players and wide screen tv. He knocks on your heart but you are too busy with your recreations. He then allows you to be inflicted with pain whether you or your love one's experience health problems or take away someone you love. What response does He get? Anger, resentment, hatred & the most common reaction is the question "Why me?"
Amazingly, I was drived to write this and inspired to do so with the help of the Holy Spirit. I would not know what to say. I'm sure I am guided by the angels and have whispered to my ears what to write in this article.
So I hope I have relayed the message for I am just one simple mother who wanted to remind people how we forget and get too distracted from the real source of life.

Freakin' Floody Friday

Yesterday, June 24, 2011 was a hell of a day not only for me but I'm sure for most of the commuters in Manila particulary in Makati area. The street that I pass by everyday is Mayapis & hubby & I call it 'Lake Mayapis'. Storm 'Falcon' made it's presence felt all over the country & I sure got pissed. Why? Well, I left the office at past six & I got home almost midnight! That's around 5 wasted hours. I walked from the office & chickened out when I reached "Lake Mayapis'. I would not want to charge the flooded area coz flood is tire deep & you could just imagine how nasty the dirty waters came from. eeeew! I stopped at KFC & ate for awhile. Noticed that the bus & traffic outside isn't moving at all. That was more than an hour I noticed. I prayed that I could ride a bus because I really could not imagine myself walking through that filthy waters. I called my hubby & told me that his buddy said that that area is indeed flooded. I was soo bored even though the conductor put on a dvd to be played on. I even moved seats thrice until I sat in front of the bus. Passengers come in and out of the bus. A lot got impatient but I do agree that 'Good things come to those who wait'. Hours after hours of waiting for the traffic to move. As we moved, finally! no wonder traffic was not moving for ages was because of the counterflow. It was a busy intersection & you would see on the opposite lane that they covered the entire lane WT! Goodness gracious! I kept praying not only for myself but for all the stranded commuters for us to arrive home safely. I missed my baby! Baby was left with only her nanny. Even though her nanny is not new, I still feel uncomfortable leaving baby by herself with her for long periods of hours. I guess it's mothers instinct. Street outside our house is flooded too, eeeww again! But happy that I finally got home safe & sound. Gee it's 2011 already & the street in Mayapis gets flooded everytime even with not too strong rains. Now what the heck are the mayors & officials doing in the city? New buildings pop up in Makati yet they could not solve the problem in that area? People wake up! Do you have to wait for another 'Ondoy?' to fix that prob? Use our taxes wisely!

To Breastfeed or to Bottlefeed?

All experts say that breast milk is best for your babies. Aside from this being nutritious for the baby, it has low protein content which helps in baby’s digestion. Breast milk also protects baby from infections. Breast-fed babies weight gain is steadier & appropriate to their age.

The only advantage I can see with bottle fed babies are, you will not worry too much of the transition from breastfeeding when you introduce your baby to the bottle.

In my experience, I was only able to give breast milk until two months. I am happy enough that I was able to give my colostrum to my baby which is more important to me. I was amazed at how much milk I produced after I delivered my baby. Unfortunately, I was taking several medications due to different sickness which comes after another. Even though doctors prescribe me those medicines that are suppose to be safe for the baby, I was a not totally convinced. I knew somehow those medicines I took would mix in my bloodstream & eventually affect the milk that I produce thus I stopped breastfeeding. If only I was that healthy and strong, I would continue breastfeeding. I tried my best but milk would not come out of my breast anymore because I did not give it regularly. I guess that’s one disadvantage of becoming a late mother, you would experience a lot of pre and post natal difficulties. Nevertheless, I am very thankful that my baby is healthy and strong.
